A lower starting payment is only part of the picture.
Your review should show what you pay, how it changes, and what remains on your utility bill.

Understand the options in your proposal
Solar may be offered as a purchase, financed purchase, lease, or power purchase agreement.
Availability depends on the provider and your eligibility.
A PPA generally charges for electricity produced by the system.
A lease generally charges for use of the equipment.
Ownership, maintenance, warranties, and transfer terms vary by agreement.
Look beyond the first year
If a payment or energy rate increases annually, ask to see later-year costs.
Compare them using clearly stated assumptions—not a promise about what the utility will charge.
We’ll discuss upfront costs, contract length, maintenance responsibilities, and what happens if you sell your home.
Review your actual agreement before signing.
Compare total household energy costs
Your comparison should include the solar payment and estimated remaining utility charges.
Solar does not automatically eliminate every utility charge.
Any savings estimate depends on usage, production, rates, and your agreement.
Ask how the estimate was calculated and what could change it.
